Carp
Lake
Still
best to use light tackle. Double
red maggots and smelly meat are the best baits.
Paul Faiers had an excellent day on peg 21 fishing across the
island, next to the aerator. He had
just over 50lbs including an 11lbs mirror.
Paul followed this up by taking 30lbs from peg 12 to win a Kev Perry
series practice match. Match LakeMatch-winning
weights to 25lbs, pleasure bags to 35lbs. Single
maggot and bread punch are catching a good quantity of silver fish and crucians.
Cat meat and sweetcorn tempt the bigger carp. North
Pool
25lbs
won Ray Cooper’s Fry’s open from peg 15.
Dave England, the Veals matchman, has been getting some excellent
pleasure bags from all over this in-form lake.
Same tactics as the match lake work best. South
Pool
Gary
Bedford had a 32lbs bag from peg 4 comprising small carp and silver fish.
Gary pole-fished light out into open water. All pegs on this lake are fishing well. Rushcombe
Lake
Still
fishing really well. Maggots and
pinkies on a 20 hook with 1.5lbs bottom line are again producing literally a
fish a chuck – not bad for January. The
bigger carp in here are falling to sweetcorn and any smelly meat. Fishing light
is the name of the game in this lake. E-mailsWe’d like to thank everyone who
